Audience Feedback- Video Editing
Video Editing in response to Audience Feedback
I added some cutaways of videos of the fur indutry in my video to make it seem more authetic. I also decided it would be a good idea to include videos of protests to make it clearer that this was a campaign. In the screenshot below, it is showing the video process. I used the software imovie. I also used a website (also screenshotted below) which converted youtube videos into downloadable format to edit into my campaign video. I did this as per audeince feedback, and I feel it now looks more professional. I will include this video on my 'Faux Not Fur' campaign linked page on my website (which is also mentioned on my First final edit print cover and contents.)Wednesday, 14 November 2018
Audience Feedback- Changes to my print product
Changes to my print product due to audience feedback
Firstly, I changed the subscription offer on the front cover of my Frida Kahlo front cover. I also added the price (bottom right) to my cover to adhere to conventions. My selling line is 'celebrating the spectacular' because my brand is mostly about recognising influential people, so I felt this selling line fits well with that concept. I also made sure both covers had the same barcode. In terms of my context page, I made some minor grammatical changes and included more references via intertextuality in my copy- 'Woman in Vegas wins big' to 'What happens in Vegas...' This is a reference to the renowned movie 'What happens in Vegas,' and I decided to use this as the target demographic is likely to recognise this. I have decided to use more cultural references within the contents copy because the audience may recognise this and relate to it when they read the contents.

Audience Feedback- Changes to my online product
Changes to my Online product
After reading some of my audience feedback, I changed some aspects of my print products.
Firstly, I changed my 'Sam Morris: Unmasked' page slightly in order to make it look more realistic of a music artist feature. I included a 'tour dates' screenshot and album screenhot from Emily Smith's coursework (whilst giving credit.) The reason I did this was because I felt the collaboration of Emily's portrayal of Sam in her music video as well as my website feature would work well together as we have the same model. In terms of my multi-media element of the mark scheme, I have featured an origional video of mine in the 'Faux not fur' section of my website.
Before
After
I also changed one of the pages on my website in order to show the audience participation aspect of my brand.
Origionally the link featured in the screenshot below didn't work, but after creating a link to the page I created a gallery to show examples of audience participation. In order to get this participation, I created a competition in my first edition contents page, encouraging the audience to send in selfies of themselves dressed as their favourite icon. In order to lead them to the online product, I explained the photos will be posted on the website, or in the second edition magazine (encouraging them to buy the second print produt of mine.) Below is a screenshot of this linked page.

Audience feedback- Responses
Below is feedback in response to an audience feedback session I participated in during class.
For my audience feedback, I made sure all the people asked were of my target demographic. I also asked my focus group in order to gain an idea of what multiple people had to say about my products.
For my print product, the following advice was given-
Price is missing
Selling line missing
Barcodes not exactly the same on both copies
Change subscribe offer in the cover as doesn't adhere to conventions
For my online product, the following advice was given-
include cutaways in the faux not fur video of the fashion industry
Maybe include Tour dates, link to buy tickets on Sam’s page, maybe a link to Emily’s video (with a disclaimer)
I will take on all this advice in order to meet the maximum appeal of my audience.

Production- Online video
Here is a screenshot of the editing process of my video. As mentioned in my statement of intent, I wanted to include an interview with a campaign that is against the fur industry. Above, I have an actress posing as the CEO of the charity, and she talks about ways the audience can join in the campaign as well as information on it.
I like how the video planned out, however, I'm considering filming it again because I don't like the door in the background.

Research- Male Adverts for my website
Male Adverts Research
I plan to include male adverts on my website by including a photoshoot of my brother. This is because it can appeal to the primary audience of females (advertising for a male partner), but also to my secondary male audience, who are interetsed in fashion. Below is research I have carried out in order to help gain wider knowledge of typical male adverts.

As you can see from below, I have tried to replicate the same poses in my photoshoot with my brother. I decided to use a city setting to reflect the professionalism of wearing a suit. In some I used direct eye contact, in others I decided to have the model look away for variation.

Production- deciding second cover & focus group
I found it hard to decide which photo I wanted to use as my second cover, so after consulting with my foucs group I decided to use the midshot of my two models against a mirrored background. My focus group research indicates to me that the composition of my covers so far are suitable for the target audience.
I have dceide to use the photo indicated by my target audience in the screenshot below.
