Here is my first edition draft for my magazine cover 'Icon.' I have used a colour theme of purple, red and white because I feel that this ties together nicely. I have used 3 various font styles- Arial black bold, impact and a brush style one I downloaded online. I decided to use a close-up photograph on my cover because I think it catches the eye of the reader and has a lot of impacts. I have highlghted key words in purple because that way they also catch the attention of the reader. I still have cover lines to tweak, but this draft is the structure that I want my first edition cover to be.
Here is the start of the production of my contents page. I have used the same colour scheme to create a house style. I included a photo of my cover to adhere to the conventions of contents pages. I am yet to decide whether I want the features column where it is or move it to create more space for pictures.
Here is my second edition cover. This photo is what I'm going to feature, however, I am undecided whether to move it down slightly to expose more of their heads. I have chosen a colour scheme of blue, purple and white as i feel this ties nicely and follows the ABBA theme. I chose to feature the edition title on teh bottom of the page becasue that way it follows a house style with the previous edition. I kept the masthead white for that same reason, but undecided whether to superimpose it or leave it the way it is. I will consult with my focus group to discuss the concerns I have.
